Well, as of thursday, I have no more scheduled classes at my college. I will be doing an externship at the school and then I will receive my associates of occupational studies for Medical Office Administration. I am thing about going back to Missouri College, as they have a new program. Its a business administration program with a concentration in health care. Upon completion they will give you a bachelor's degree. It's normally a two and a half year program. However, since I completed their MOA program, it will only be 55 more credits for me (which is roughly one year.) I am getting the costs figured out now to see how much I would have to borrow to do it. I also have to go in for foot surgery starting at the end of May. So I will probably hold off on that until I am healed. That and they can only do one foot at a time. The top of my feet 'lock-up'. I found out that the tendons on the top of my feet are trying to overcompensate for my high arch and other problems with my feet. I will be a little while to recover but at least I get my VA disability check in the mean time. I also shouldn't have much of a problem getting a job once its all over with. First major purchase on the list is a car. Can't wait to have some good money coming in. My girlfriend is making some decent money at a part time job, while she also goes to school. Once she is done with her program, she plans on getting another part time job at the same hospital. That way she won't get bored with either job and gets all the full time bennies.....yeah for her!!!.
Well, I also got the Matrix Online when it came out. At first I was playing the beta game on my laptop. It looked very good and was fun. I decided though, that once I got the retail version, that I would put it on my desktop computer. Well, when I installed it, it didn't like my graphics card. I talked to my girlfriend and she took me to circuit city and we bought a new graphics card for me. I ended up getting a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro w/ 128MB. All I have to say is.....unfrikkin'believable. This card rocks. I thought the beta game looked good on my laptop. It is absolutely grand on my desktop. When playing the game, you can actually see small rocks in the road and cracks everywhere. It looks just like your watching a movie. And the framerate is near 60 fps or so....its just awesome. I don't play the game as much as I want to. However, I am up to level 10 and climbing so progress is being made. I also joined a clan and am having fun with that. They are a cool bunch of guys and I feel proud to have meet and played with them.
Well...I think its time to log off here and jack in to the matrix. Cya all around Tallknight |

| | mischievous | ] | I just created my blog and lets see how this goes. I guess I should start off with a little about myself. Well...for starters I am 6 feet 8 inches tall, with size 18 shoes. and I weigh close to 300 pounds, but you can't really tell since I am so tall. I am kind of a private person except to my close friends. I am an avid gamer of all sorts. I love interacting with people on something fun. Right now, I started playing a game called "Matrix Online". Sometimes last month I was invited to play in the beta testing and had a lot of fun. Today I will actually get my 'box' copy along with the strategy guide. I know a lot of people look down on strategy guides for games, but I don't have a whole lot of free time, like I did when I was younger. So they are kind of a crutch, necessitated by age! lol I have a wonderful girlfriend who I have been dating since Jan 1st. She is a very wonderful person, who hasn't been appreciated enough by the people in her past. She underestimates how wonderful she is. She is kind, caring and also interested in gaming. Wow....I think I have found the perfect woman!!! I play dungeons and dragons and in the past I have also Dungeon masted campaigns. She has asked me to teach her how to play and I am in the middle of setting up some simple adventures to teach her how to play.
I am also an avid reader. I read alot and all the time. I am usually reading two or three books. I love to read forgotten realms novels as well as gaming books, books on technical subjects etc. I also like to read the news. If your gonna play in a fake world you also need some real world examples of whats going on ;-) I am not into following celebrities. I don't know a lot of actors/actresses names or even musicians names but I know a few. I like actors like Wil Wheaton, Vin diesel, etc. Mostly because they are also gamers, so I have some respect for them. I don't really respect alot of celebrities just because the media thinks they are so great. Certain people are hyped way too much. Like certain rich little snobs who have no real life others than mommy and daddy are really rich. They have done nothing deserving of their fame, other than be born to rich folks. Accident of fate I guess. Some people I like but also dislike at the same time. One such example would be he who rules a Kingdom with the initials MS. He worked his butt off to get where he is, but he now charges way to much for his programs. King Bill has more money to burn than he needs!!! But he earned most of it. So I have to give him credit there. Then there are people who I wouldn't mind seeing disappear. One example would be the US's dictator...he calls himself president but he rules like he is king and makes laws in accordance with his religious beliefs. Now being religious isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, forcing your views on others without their consent is a sin and for that he should burn in what ever pit the universe has reserved for him. I know, that expressing such opinion isn't popular or even prudent, considering how Dictator Bush has the CIA, FBI, NSA, and even the MIA watching for anything that will 'threaten' his brainwashing of the world. Its not so surprising that the world in general has lost a lot of respect for the United States, considering the way Bush conducts himself and our government. The constitution says the government is for the people, by the people. However, bush and cronies think its for their benefit and screw the common person if it interferes with their profit. Well...thats enough for my first posting....be on the look out for my next installment ;-) |
